Authentic Indian Spice Mixes, Ready to Cook

Authentic Indian spice blends with no grinding and no guesswork. The foundation of everything we make.

The Category

What Is in This Category

Spice Mixes are where The Spice Cabinet began. Each blend is a complete, balanced base for a dish you already know how to eat but may not have the time to build from scratch. Instead of eleven jars, a grinder and a guess, you get one measured pouch that has already done the roasting, the ratio work and the ordering of ingredients that decides whether a curry tastes flat or tastes like home.

Our blends are built around everyday Indian cooking rather than novelty. A weeknight paneer, a Sunday chicken curry, a quick dal tadka, a pav bhaji when the evening calls for comfort food. Each pouch carries a fixed spice ratio so the eighth time you cook a dish it tastes like the first time it worked. That repeatability is the quiet part of convenience nobody talks about, because a shortcut that gives a different result every time is not a shortcut at all.

Everything is ground in small batches in Nagpur, packed in portion sizes that match a real household rather than a restaurant kitchen, and labelled with the exact quantity you need for two, four or six servings. There are no fillers standing in for spice, no artificial flavour carrying the taste and no long ingredient list hiding a short one. What is on the pouch is what is in the pouch.

We treat this category as the floor of the brand rather than the ceiling. If a spice mix cannot hold its own against something ground at home on a slow weekend, it does not leave the kitchen. Convenience should never cost you the taste of home, and in this category that promise is tested every single day.

Method

How to Use Them

  1. Step 01

    Prepare your base

Heat oil, add your onions, tomatoes or aromatics and cook them down the way you normally would.

  2. Step 02

    Add the mix

Stir in one measured spoon per two servings. The pouch tells you the exact quantity so nothing is left to guesswork.

  3. Step 03

    Add your main ingredient

Vegetables, paneer, lentils, chicken or fish. The blend is built to carry all of them without adjustment.

  4. Step 04

    Simmer and finish

Give it eight to twelve minutes on low heat so the spices open up. Finish with fresh coriander or cream if you like.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is actually inside a Spice Cabinet spice mix?

Each mix contains whole spices that are cleaned, roasted and ground in small batches along with salt where the recipe needs it. We do not use artificial colour or artificial flavour and every ingredient is printed in full on the pouch.

How long do the spice mixes keep?

An unopened pouch keeps its flavour for nine months from the packing date printed on the label. Once opened, keep it sealed in a dry place away from direct sunlight and use it within three months for the best aroma.

Are the mixes very spicy?

They are balanced rather than aggressive. Heat is present but it sits underneath the aroma, so you can raise it with fresh chilli if your household prefers a sharper edge.

Do I still need to add my own spices?

No. Each mix is complete for the dish it is made for. You only add your fresh ingredients such as onion, tomato, oil or your main protein.
